Henderson junior Adam Morris won first place in boys singles at the district 16-AAAA tennis tournament on April 10 in Center. He has won district in this division for 3 years, or each year he has participated. Morris beat two Center players as well as a Carthage player to earn his spot. With his victory at district, Morris advanced to the Class-4A Regional tournament in Longview held on April 17 and 18. He won his opening match on April 17, allowing him to advance to the second part of the competition held April 18. Morris advanced to the regional finals and earned second place. This allows him to advance to state, the date of which has not been determined.
